Actor and stuntman Al Wyatt Sr. was born Allan Riley Wyatt on May 7, 1917 in Mayfield, Kentucky. Wyatt headed off to California following service in the military during World War II. Al's status as an expert horseman enabled him to break into films in the Western genre in 1947 as both an actor and a stuntman who doubled for most of the top leading men in Hollywood. Often cast as bad guys in Westerns, Wyatt eventually went on to become a stunt coordinator and second unit director. Al's career in …
